More photos of le Bal
We received more photos from le Bal. I know some of these are a bit repetitive, but I thought you all would enjoy seeing them. I didn't take my camera that evening, although I would have liked to. You can click on all of these images to view them in larger form.
The official photo–and one below having fun…
Frances Fisher, Kathy Lette, Forest Whitaker and wife Keisha, and me….
Forest Whitaker takes his daughter Autumn for the first waltz.
I cleaned out my closet this weekend, so I'm going to take a photo as promised. Hope everyone had a great weekend, and I hope you all are not getting too stressed by the holidays!!

I’m surprised at how sexy a few of these gowns are— especially the white one in the back row! Talk about a plunging neckline!
I love that Jane looks chic and yet still looks like a teenager. Her Chanel dress is beyond gorgeous. She’ll never look at these photos and say, “What was I thinking?!” Class all the way.

Catherine–Agreed–I know exactly the dress you’re talking about–this mom would have vetoed that look!
Beautiful photos! The whole family is sooo good-looking!
Second from last is such a beautiful photo of Jane, she completely stands out from the other girls, it reminds me of some of the stills of Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly from the set of Breakfast at Tiffany’s! Also, the photo of Forest Whittaker dancing with his daughter is very sweet.
I agree with Catherine. When I saw Jane’s outfit I immediately thought that it had a very classic look- instantly chic and classic. Loving the monochrome theme too. Its very refreshing not to see a strapless bodice, but a more grown up version with longer sleeves.
I really like the dress you’re wearing too. I was just wondering, knowing that you’re a big fan of vintage, have you ever gone vintage shopping in London? I can imagine you enjoying areas such as Brick Lane- completely stuffed full of vintage shops!
I was just wondering if you got my last comment/ email about the designs I did inspired by you? I really enjoyed doing the two sketches of the outfits inspired by your style and would love to know your opinion.

These pictures are lovely! I think Jane really stands out in her fabulous Chanel dress, and your lovely green dress is wonderful as well! You guys all look amazing!
Great pictures!! Thank you so much for sharing them! Jane’s dress is to die for and so unforgettable! And I love the picture where everyone else is muted in the background!

The pictures are lovely to see, I think I like Jane’s gown so much as it is so different to the others, and I am never going to be a fan of cleaveage! I also really like the white with red embroidery on the bodice, looks like McQueen? The architecture stunning too x
Pearl–the dress was McQueens. We Jane, Carol and I gasped when we saw it–it was beautiful beyond belief!
Roz–Have yet to vintage shop in London. I’ve only a very short stop over in London, but sure hope I get to one day!!
wow Jane looks so beautiful…I especially love the group shot, I think Jane really sticks out for some reason, in a good way. Her dress is a bit different from the other girl’s. Looking forward to a very bright and promising future for your daughter!
You looked radiant…
I adore the sari type dress one of the girls is wearing.
I definitely reccomend it! One of my favourite places to shop vintage in London is Beyond Reto. The size of a warehouse, it carries pieces from the twenties to nineties. You do have to rummage through to find things, but there are some amazing gems!
But the whole of Brick Lane is brilliant.
Generally I love shopping in London, not having much access to vintage in the rural countryside! Having said that, there is a fantastic little place near me that sells vintage beauties, but thats about it.

You look great and so your daughter does
Saludos,
Clau!
gotta luv it! http://fashionsexmagic.blogspot.com/
Jane looks stunning! as so many of the other girls. I like how Jane’s dress was classic yet very modern. I’m very surprised that many of the dresses are EXTREMELY low cut or show off a lot of cleavage. Parents???

what elegant it is. beautifull…
What a magical night that must have been. Every girl grows up hearing the story of Cinderella and hoping to go to the ball someday, but how many actually get to do so? Thank you so much for sharing these with us. It’s amazing just experiencing it vicariously!
I’ve been visiting your site for some time now. This is the first time I would leave a comment. I love this blog post! So true.

Amazing photos! What an amazing experience! Jane’s dress was by far the most beautiful!
Jane definetly wore the most creative dress of the ball, class, modern and elegant.
it’s amazing the way she looks like a russian doll…
In France, she’s not far from becoming an icone …

Please give Jane my best wishes for a very happy, stylish birthday. And my hat is off to you, Judy, for raising such an amazing young woman. As they say, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree!
I never get tired of seeing photos of this night and that Chanel gown! Have a wonderful Christmas holiday and a fantastic 2010. And thanks for the great comments and for featuring my blog in yours. That was such an honor and a treat!
Lovely
I wanted to also wish you a very Merry Christmas, Judy, filled with my joy, fun, and love!

Beautiful pictures. I love that Jane’s dress is more highfashion and chic than some of the other dresses. Some of them rieks of promnight in a bad way. Thanks for sharing those beautiful pictures.

Honestly, Jane is THE best looking girl of all of them!! Her beautiful pale skin, relatively simple hair and makeup, and thoroughly modern (and super cute) gown totally set her apart from the rest. I’m interested to know what the fashionistas in the media have to say about her, I should do a little internet search. What a fabulous experience for all of you!
And now SNOW!! I’m in Chicago, I love snow, we’ve had more rain than snow up here. It’s finally snowing again and actually amounting to something.
Jane stands out entirely. The dress is so modern and classy… just like her.
