Hi Judy, the drawing of you and Jane is darling! My go-to alterations place here is Margaret’s Alterations across from SMU.
What an adorable picture, it is very very sweet.
Love that lion belt!!!
love the belt..will definitely have to check out the shop tonight..
it’s a beautiful sketch, judy!
i’m on my to check out that site now.
Harry’s Tailor Shop on Preston Rd across from Valley View Mall- He does impeccable work and has been written up in local papers. He’s on the pricey side but he’s worth it. Oh… and lots of shops use him for alterations (like Billy Reid). That’s how I discovered him.
You must go to Park Cities Custom Tailors (in the same strip center as Petco near lovers lane and the tollway). Ask for Julie. They are amazing, fast, and inexpensive. They come with my highest recommendation (They are also good in emergencies- they turned around a formal dress in a day for me…).
Such a sweet and beautifully drawn photo!

It was great seeing you & Jane in salvation army today. I use barneys for alteration
I love the illustration! You two are adorable!
Hey Judy,
I have those infamous Balenciaga platform cork shoes (seen on the
olsen twins) in a size 39.5, 40, or 40.5.
They actually run a half size big! So I would go down a size

Amazing drawing! I heartily second wroxton’s recommendation of Harry’s Tailor Shop on Preston Road (close to LBJ). Amazing work and fast turn around.
Hi Judy,

What a wonderful illustration! You have good reason to be proud!
Park Cities Tailors on Lovers lane (can get anything done in a day, they’re the best)… love the belts and picture
Unique Tailor at 5863 East Mockingbird. They are very good, very fast and very reasonable. They are always busy, so be prepared to wait in line.
I second Unique Tailor. They are the BEST. And cheap.
Gorgeous picture, Judy.
Gorgeous drawing! Congrats for it!

I agree with Harry’s Tailor Shop on Preston Road between LBJ and Alpha. As well, Neon’s Tailor on Spring Valley does a lot of high end work and quality work. I go between the two places.
Mothers WHO are proud of their daughters, not THAT are proud. Ignorance wears Chanel…Yuk.
yay! just made a purchase of that mimi belt! can’t wait to get that sweetie!!!
amazing sketch of you & jane!
xoxo!
I love that beautiful drawing! The pictures from the ball were absolutely gorgeous, I love the illustrated take on them
Always love you and Jane’s style – so unique and thought provoking. I always drop by and check in… and those belts – gorgeous!
Beautiful lady, amazing style – I aspire to put myself together as funky and gracefully as you!

Hello Judy!
Another fan from your site from Baltimore!
The dress that Zoe is wearing is a vintange Haltson. I have it and you can’t imagine how amazing it is! I will sell it soon on ebay, together with a huuuuuuuuge Ram CR buckle (need some funding for my MBA studies…)
Your collection is insane. I think you’re the only blogger I’ve come across that actually talk about vintage anything and I’ll take seriously. One of these days when I stop being a poor law student, I’ll invest in one of your amazing pieces.
Great article and sketch! I would be totally “fiere de ma fille” if I had a daughter like Jane. (I’m in my twenties now and don’t have children yet but hopefully i will someday!)
