I LIKE BIG BUTTS, AND I CANNOT LIE…..
….at least on a necklace. Debuting a new vintage necklace purchased over the weekend. She was dubbed the "Big Bottom Lady." I think she must be a feminist relic left over from the 60's or 70's.

She is my new favorite necklace without a doubt. I embrace all of her curves.

Wearing oversized slinky tee from Opening Ceremony in NY, J. Crew cut off cords, and nude Stellas.

Your hair colour looks great against the fall background~
That necklace is darling! It’s a shame pieces like her is so hard to find these days~
Wow you changed your hair, love it, it’s so “autumnal”, suits you very well, did you also cut it a bit?
And those Stellas are as georgeous in nude than in black, you look great Judy!
that first photo really is amazing. Love the hair, the leaves, the necklace. Would love a big bottomed woman (necklace) of my own. heh.
The 1st photo is more than amazing. You look soooo young, 25ish. Awesome!
Yes–I went darker with my hair. I’m glad to hear you guys like it–always hard make a change!
Autumn really suits you…you look especially gorgeous here.
love the neutral colors you are wearing – they are perfect for the season as they seem to reflect surrounding vibrant palette well, becoming one with it.
A few things:
ONE. I would just about kill for your bone structure. GORGEOUS.
TWO. Props on the new hair-color– very vibrant!
THREE. That necklace is so intriguing; definitely a statement piece in the best way!
FOUR. Those Stella’s are already well on their way to becoming ICONS of our decade.

Hahah I want this necklace! These are beautiful pics too!
Wow, Judy, you look stunning in those photos! Love the new color. And I just adore that necklace. It reminds me of a drawing that my husband and I bought in Paris at the flea market — a big-bottomed girl, too! I agree with Jill: curvalicious!!!
Thanks for all of the kind comments about looking younger–I think it’s just very soft morning light and a lot of concealer!
The colors of the pictures are beautiful!!! and your hair looks better than ever!
Oh, the leaves are just wonderful…and what’s going on south of your ankles? Looks like your Stella’s in nude? Or it is just the lighting?
OMG> that first picture looks like you lost 20 years.. you look great!
You look beautiful with the new hair color! Great outfit as usual.
Just wanted to say you definitely seem to be one of those rare very successful yet very personable bloggers.

Judy,
Love love love the hair! I am a faux redhead too and once you go red, it’s hard to be any other color.
I also love the simplicity of your outfit. You are so chic!
At first, the shape of your necklace reminded me of the Hottentot Venus, but I think that you might be right about her instead. There’s just something tender and feminine about the way she is sculpted and posed, unlike the highly fetishized (and highly racist) portrayals of Sarah Baartman.

Hello Judy.
That necklace is amazing, as some comments, is a gorgeous venus.
And I love the colors in the first picture.
You look like you went to the best Spa in America…so gorgeous. If you and Jane walk together people are going to think u are both sisters…your hair color makes you look amazingly beautiful! I wish I can have the guts and change my haircolor, but I don’t touch it. It has been black black since the day I was born and I have never ever changed it. Love the colors and the fall foliage. Absolutely Stunning Judy!

Fantastic necklace! This has me excited to incorporate 70s feminist goddess culture into my dress as a deeper statement of history. No bra, natural hair, statement pins, sensible shoes, and images that celebrate femininity. Feminine iconography is too often forgotten in fashion, other than Lacroix’s saint collections and the occasional greek goddess nod. Superficial as it may seem, fashion can be a very feminist world of images and ideas.
Even the most ho-hum designers could do it–Marc on a suffragette kick, reinterpretations of Germaine Greer chic by Balmain, and Cavalli or Betsey recreating the feminist storming of the Miss America pageant with flames and hair curler accessories.
cute necklace- love the blog title (ha!)
the soft golden light effects, shimmery taupe/nudes- sublime!!
the red hair on you is so striking…i’ve become obsessed w/ red hair lately…recently had mine dyed, too- a dark auburn…have finally gotten accustomed to it- am very pleased w/ the change. hope you’re happy with yours because it’s quite pretty.
absolutely beautiful pictures!!!!
you look lovely among the fall foliage.

Here’s another song to think of when you wear this necklace: “Ms. Fat Booty” by Mos Def. Great song.
I echo all of the commenters who say they love your hair…wow! It looks gorgeous! And what a fun, super duper unique necklace…great find!
Love the necklace (reminds me of myself–lol)I love your hair too. It really looks nice.
Lori
Judy your necklace may have been influenced by the Venus Hottentot. It is a lovely piece and you look great with your new color.
which jcrew cords are they? are they the matchstick ones or the bootcut ones? i really want to replicate. you look beautiful, love the new haircolor
Lovely necklace
Olya—My cords are the boot cut ones–I think they are still in store.
The slinky tee is so cozy looking. Love the lighting in these shots as well!
This tee looks wonderfully soft. I like your haircut most of all – it’s a flattering length and cut for your delicate bone structure.
Happy autumn!

Probably one of my favorite looks on you! The necklace is incredible. I always reach for those earthy/nude toned clothes in my closet when I can’t find anything else. You look great! =)
Love your hair and makeup! You look absolutely gorgeous. Did you do your makeup yourself? if so, great job- looks like a pro did it.
First photo… absolutely gorgeous… I love colours of this photo… and your smile is beautiful and friendly…
:) greetings from France
You look stunning in these photos!
Judy, you look absolutely beautiful & I don’t think the morning light or concealer has anything to do with it!
I love the red hair on you (and Jane too) – I’m a redhead myself.
I had to laugh at the title of this post ~ gotta love Sir Mixalot! I can remember every bit of that video.
The necklace is a beauty too.
And, where oh where are those beautiful yellow leaves? All of the ones in our neighborhood are brown and crunchy.
Hehe, so cute.

You are constantly wonderful. When I am having a bad day I read your blog and pretend we are related and I had some of your genetic goodness. Would love to hear more about your early fashion adventures. Your back catalogue of vintage is incredible. It is Australia here and you are making me envy autumnal colours.
Judy,
I love the new hair color!!! I agree with the others you look the same age as when I first meet you – 20.
XOXO
Kelly
The sheer oversize tee is just soooo great, love the simply look with plenty of energy, xx
Gorgeous…the light muted ensemble is just breathtaking! You look stunningly beautiful and they were right Ms. Judy, you definitely look younger in this new hair color! ;D
Strange but you look like Grace Kelly in some of these pictures its so weird!!!! A good thing obviously.
Love the loose grey shirt and the big butt necklace. But would it be bad if I only prefer them as a necklace around a neck instead of an actual big butt on my body?
your hair is a great color, and your skin looks luminescent!
