GUCCI PLATFORMS

Jane and I both bought these Gucci platforms for a ridiculously low price at the end of  spring 09. There were so many pair of these on sale, I don't think anybody bought them.  I love the rich color of the gold, and the exaggerated platform shape. Reminds me of a pair of platforms my older sister had in the 70's that I desperately wanted to steal!

I'm picturing these for fall with a vintage bias cut, long wool skirt in plaid, and scrunchy olive socks  or thick tights.  For now, I tried them with a vintage pleated wool skirt from the 80's and gold sparkly socks….

Seriously Denise….

This skirt is so incredible.  It's hard to see the detail, but there are different textures of herringbone wool woven together.  What a great vintage find for $10!! (vintage clam belt)

Another shot…..So glad everyone enjoyed the Adolfo frog skirt!  Jane wore it out on Saturday afternoon, and I think we captured some great photos…all for now.

I’d love to do a search for them. Can you tell me about sizing? I’m a solid US 8.5 and usually wear a 39 Euro (40 French with a little room). Did you go with your usual size in these?
Any and all advice appreciated, E

as for the shoes, i’m strangely drawn to them i mean, if they were described to me, sight-unseen, i’d probably go “hmm. nah.” but look how sexy-cute they are! and with socks- now, that’s a look i’m warming up to!

The Guccis run true to size. I took my regular size 10. Jane and I are asked often if we wear the same size shoe, and we don’t. I’m a full size larger than Jane. Also, my feet are very narrow, and I don’t like to share my shoes…;)) I’m selfish, I know.

How irritating that several people either hinted or asked you where you bought your shoes and you continue to ignore them, yet you make sure to mention how many shoes there were at the store you went to. It seems as if you were being intentionally rude. You are fully aware that you post things for people to see and most likely people are going to want the things you post, why not help them out? or if you don’t want people getting the same shoes or clothes as you then don’t post them.
