FAUX FUR PART THREE
Here are some more pictures of the faux fur collection. Sorry for the double posting, but this has been quite an undertaking for both Jane and me.
This is a great dirty blonde faux mink coat.
Close up….
Me wearing my amazing mohair faux leopard. I've been looking for a vintage leopard coat forever, but most of them resemble a bad stuffed animal won at a carnival. This is the perfect type of fake leopard fur. It's kind of stiff and bristly. Elizabeth and James have a really cute faux leopard fur out in stores now, but it's over $600!! I like mine much better, and it was only $10. Truly a great vintage find.
Jil Sander pump from several seasons past. I love these pumps!!
Detail shot of the leopard coat, and this cute shaggy coat Jane and I picked up at a vintage store in Shimokitazawa, a really funky neighborhood in Tokyo near Shibuya.
A better shot of the shaggy coat. Jane is wearing new Ann D.'s. Her shoes have been amazing the last three seasons. More vintage fur to come…..

where do you get lucky finding vintage faux fur in Dallas? love the photos, so beautiful!
Did you get the Jil Sanders from handmadeinitaly on ebay? They’ve got a great selection right now and I’ve got my eye on a pair of metallic pointy oxfords from the same season.
Nicole—I find vintage furs all over the D/FW area. Estate sales, thrift stores, charity events, and flea markets. This has been almost a year of collecting. I hope to find more!
Addicted–I got mine at Barney’s a couple of years ago–must go over and see what’s on E-bay. Send a link if you have one.
You have an amazing collection!
i LOOOOOOOVE leopard print. it makes me so happy. i go crazy over it!
dont you dare ever sell that coat!!! a beautiful leopard coat is hard to find!
I love the shaggy one.
I agree with the other commentors that this is an absolutely beautiful collection of faux furs that you’ve put together. My husband’s grandmother loves faux leopard print, so I’ve seen my fair share of bad fake leopard, HaHa.
Wow Judy they are completely gorgeous, I especially adore the texture of the shaggy faux fur. Just a quick question about the Jil Sanders…I’m looking to get myself a pair and was wondering if they fit TTS and if they are comfortable? I know Jil Sander shoes are normally notoriously hard to walk in…
I love the leopard print!! I’m not the type to wear animal prints but that coat won me over
Thanks ^_^

I was watching “Just shoot me” the other night & Mia was wearing the exact same leopard coat with a little black dress – very 90s & I straight away thought it would look so good on you. And here it is!! De ja vu!

Great post, Judy! I really like the first picture of u in the leopard fur. It’s fresh, young and spectacularly beautiful! And what u said about most leopard fake furs is sooo right (like cheap stuffed animals)!LOL.
Lots of love from Les Coupines
Pretty pretty! I adore fur coats and my collection looks similar to your first post where they were all lined up. Killer heels and as usual Jane is a cutie patootie!
What jeans is Jane wearing? The hysterics?

Larae–Yes, Jane’s jeans are Hysteric Glamour.

I love saying “swakara” – have you found any of that?
I used to have a faux swakara skirt and loved it….

it doesn’t look like a fake stuffed animal because that actually isn’t leopard. It’s cheetah.
The Leopard print coat is spectacular- Im currently searching for one myself!
