Rainy Season
It is the rainy season in Tokyo and unlike Texas, that has fast and furious storms that end quickly, Tokyo has long, slow, and steady rain showers that last for hours. Today we're having one of those downpours. It's really kind of nice…..
Jane and I were dressed and ready to venture out, but decided to hang around the hotel instead. I'm wearing Full Nelson jacket over great jeans purchased at Maxfield's and Stellas.
I'll try and find the maker of these jeans. Jane and I both got a pair, but there is no tag. I know they are from a japanese designer.
I watched the rain from the lobby that looks out over the garden and had the most perfect cup of coffee.
Everyone was running for cover.

Love your outfit! Tokyo must be serene in the rain.
Wow, it looks so beautiful and soothing. Love all the parasols — must not rain in Tokyo the way it rains in Chicago
You must find out who makes those jeans — always looking for the new perfect pair and those might be it!

you look great in your stellas..
I have lots and lots of heels..but find myself mainly wearing flats bc nyc is so hard on my feet!
When i go out on the town, i always go for comfort over anything else, bc walking from subway to subway, block by block is just not worth the pain anymore!

I highly recommend heading to the Meiji Shrine when it’s raining. I think it’s almost better under a gentle mist
I had the fortune of being in Japan two years ago, but since I was backpacking, my outfits were by no means fabulous!
Hi Judy, ah.. lovely post. i usually dislikes rainy days but this was a different feel & i am going well with it suprisingly!
The weather somehow looks very romantically cozy! As always, i love your sense of style & you’re always looking cool, chic, mature for your age somehow. Oh yes, a confession to made, that i will be ‘copying’ your ensemble from your Saturday post. http://styleantagonist.wordpress.com/2009/06/21/city-shopping-binge/
Thanks for constantly posting / sharing with all of us the many inspirational thoughts & view.

Do you think you can post the images at a higher resolution? These kind of natural, unstaged, unprofesional, but gorgeous photos of Japan are a rare thing to us gaijins, and i would love to admire all the details.
