NY Snaphots

Home from New York.  It was truly a great trip.  There is so much to see in NY, and I think we saw most of it—my feet are so tired today.  Here are a few snapshots of our trip….

Here I am having breakfast.  Wearing Pamela Love Talon necklace, and leather vest from Topshop
Here I am at Topshop.  Nicky and Shea took excellent care of us during our visit.  The girls are piling clothes all over me.   We got to have a sneak peek at Fall 09, and I have quite a few things on my wish list.

Here I am outside of the little carraige house we were staying in…thanks Colleen.  Top by AA.

    Hi Judy-
Sounds like you got quite a lot in in your short visit to NY! Did you get to IF on Grand Street in Soho? It is my all time FAVORITE independent boutique that has been there since 1979, when my Mom used to take me to the galleries there that started the Soho boom. That store was one of the first avant garde boutiques in NY and still carries the best selections of Junya, Comme, Dries, Margiela, Ann, Gary Graham, and Ivan Grundahl. Actually, they are the wholesalers of Ivan Grundahl. If not, next time you come, you should definintely check it out.

Hi Judy, may I know the location/neighborhood of the house you stayed in NYC? Is it up for rent? I’m looking for a decent place to stay in NYC this Fall where I’ll be staying for 2 weeks. Hope you can email me the contact details of the landlord too. Would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Crawling out of the wood(or is that web?)work to say you and Jane are my favourite bloggers in the whole WWW.
Love the tapered leather trousers, the rolled-up sweatpants (unexpectedly elegant) and the fact that you make Topshop look fabulously expensive.
    Inspirational.

What a funny old world this is. I was looking at my virtual (we haven’t yet met) friend Stephanie’s blog in the BVI, and tho I’m not a shopaholic, and know there’s more to life than clothes, fell in love with the Topshop jacket. Then saw my OTHER virtual friend,
-h in Palm Beach, had mentioned someone named Judy in Atlantis Home just bought it in Topshop in NY, where I’m from.
So sitting here in our London home, I’ve just been round the world & back, only to discover that a sparkling beautiful jacket, like a pale peachy pair of ruby slippers, is right here in my own backyard. Literally.
LOVE your blog, love how you have all these similar interests, and especially, love Carol’s beautiful pastelly cakes!
I’m adding your link to my nice things list as we speak.
