LYN DEVON
This is my fall outfit! I'm not doing any shopping this fall unless it's a vintage piece I can't pass up. This amazing sweater and leather skirt are from the very talented Lyn Devon. I met Lyn at a trunk show in Dallas, and she showed me through her entire fall line. Everything was beautiful–but these two pieces I had to have! The pieces just arrived today, so I was just trying it on–it was 99 degrees here today, so I won't be wearing it anytime soon.
The leather is so soft with a wonderful waxed look. The sweater is chunky wool, but soft and not itchy at all. Boots by Casadei.
Jane and I are off to NY for a very short trip.

nice!
I like this! The colors are so complementary and without a doubt reminiscent of fall. I really enjoy how that chunky necklace sits against your sweater…nearly identical in hue, but different texturally, and I also enjoy that quick pop of yellow on your wrist.
Normally I wouldn’t go for something so….covered up….But I think this looks really great. You’ve managed to pair a long skirt with high boots and it works really, really well. Great look!
Why do I not believe you about the no shopping thing unless it’s vintage…?
The texture on that skirt is really something.
love it! especially the colors! have fun in ny
Ha ha P–just watch me
LOVE the colors, the hues of red make me long for the trees to start painting the leaves red and gold as they push them to dance toward the ground. Oh, and the boots of course.
love this outfit: so simply… so chic!
fab, fab, fab. have fun in NYC : )
xx fallon
love the warm colors and excess of leather
This is one of my favorite outfits from you! I love how you work the 70′s look perfectly, and the double leather pairing with the skirt and boots. Also have to add I love that you share blogging with your daughter, I lost my mom a few years ago, and seeing you two together really warms my heart. xx
Awesome ensemble! LOVE the bright red…a nice shift from all the neutrals I’m seeing everywhere. Have fun with Jane in NY!! LOVE your blogs.. so fun! I just gave my mom your blog, she will really enjoy it too.

Beautiful beautiful colors!! The pleat in the skirt creates a wonderful dimension to the look.
this is one of my favorite outfits on you. everything works so well and uniquely. a mix of textures always excites my eye. i think this is brilliant!
My heart beats faster when I see all these red shades <3
each piece is so beautiful. but sorry to say, wearing the leather skirt together with the boots is too much for me.
This burnt sienna shade is very fetching on you Judy.
That skirt is perfection – both color and material wise!
Palette of your outfit screams fall for me! Reds, browns and oranges – like the falling leaves
wow, this skirt is awesome! Red color suits you very well!

xx.
Beautiful! I love the colours as in particular the texture is so intriguing. Have a great time in NY!

You look stunning! I love the dimension you get from the way the red of the sweater slowly evolves into the rusty tone of the boots…wonderful! Have fun in New York, and if you get any *new* vintage, please post. I love seeing the way you put things together.
this is one of the best outfits i’ve seen recently. love everything about it. especially the colours. no, i really love everything.
Those boots are phenomenal!
DYING for your boots! BEAUTIFUL!
Such a great look, the pieces are gorgous, it is actually quite hard to find such a lovely wool sweater that isnt itchy!
Hello gorgeous boots! Wow. Love the whole look.
You look incredible in your new outfit… as always….
Judy, I live just east of Dallas. I love the outfit and definitely the color. I cannot bear to wear a sweater even during the winter here in Texas, maybe it’s my age, hot flashes? I don’t think I’ve kept a sweater on in the past 5 years for more than an hour. Love your style. Wish you’d follow my blog!
This is a beautiful outfit, and actually makes me anxious for colder weather! All the red and pops of ochre and tan remind me of Matisse’s Red Studio, one of my favorite paintings.

Oh oh! You should be wearing my bean necklace that i bough in brazil. Its pretty much exactly the same colour as the skirt! haha
That’s a beautiful skirt, I love seeing leather in colours other than black! Actually, Karen Walker has done a skirt just like yours but in a linen material this season, it should be up on her website to check it out
