Last week, Jane and I went out and shot some of our favorite purses, both vintage and new. I love this small vintage wooden purse with it’s silk tassel hanging down. A new vintage find is this Ann Turk clutch with western hardware. I have fond memories of Ann Turk, and can remember spending a lot of time in her show room when I was much younger. Being from Texas–the cow skull and cactus made this piece a must for me!

The next two clutches were great end of the season sale finds. First, the python Margiela clutch.
I found this incredible Proenza Schouler clutch for 65% off last year–couldn’t believe it!

So–this is the first time blogging from my newly redesigned site. I hope everyone likes it, I think it looks amazing!! (thanks Christina!!) I’m still getting used to WordPress, it’s quite different than Typepad–so bear with me–thanks!!

Love the new site design. The Proenza Schoeler clutch is amazing. The first purse reminds me of something my grandfather’s wife would have given my sister and me. Every year for Christmas, she gifted us with a purse shaped as something random (unfortunately, not vintage). I think we accumulated a horse, egg, piano, watermelon, etc. Maybe I should go dig them out and see if there is anything decent at all. I’m not holding my breath. Haha.

are they still in business?
i have a cognac leather bag, somewhere….from her with silver turtles on the shoulder straps.
i also have black ‘gator bag with a silver’ gator on the front with a long silver chain, again somewhere…
you would have field day trying to organize my closet.

The bags in this post are absolutely drool worthy, I died a couple of times just looking at them. Such fabulous finds! I don’t seem to have much luck when it comes to bags. Your blog is like a fantasy world for me. I love to get lost in it sometimes. Makes me forget about things that bug me. You can say that your blog is a bug repellent! I know, i have lost it. That was such a sad cheesy joke!

Lovely bags! Speaking of bags has anyone seen the new Neiman Marcus Christmas book? There is an Owl Minaudiere featured that is set with Austrian cyrstals that is amazing! So, so awesome!
