Gotta Have It!
About two weeks ago I was browsing through one of our best thrift stores in Dallas called Genesis. It's a real treasure packed full of designer duds. I was looking at all of the discarded leather pants fondly remembering my extra cool black baggy ones that I wore constantly in the 80's. The rack at Genesis was full of this style in every high end name brand you can imagine. I thought about it, I was really feeling this look, but I hesitated. Then this morning
Definitely should have gotten a pair of those slouchy black leather pants! Her Loubs look so great too, I tried those last year, but they hurt my feet terribly. Oh well, Carol needs an old fashioned vacuum cleaner for an art project this week, so there's my excuse to make a trip to Genesis, and hopefully there will be a pair of leather pants with my name on them. I'll be sure to post them if I find them.
Off to work now, I'm hoping to have something up on the website this week, even if it's just a very few items.

I am in love with photos from Garance Dore’s site. That woman looks so chic and those pants look exquisite on her. It’s a style not many could pull off. Divine.

I’ve forgotten to include this on my previous comment.Ms. Judy, i’m so happy you visited my site and thank you so much for the lovely comment.
Hi Judy! Love the blog and what not, but I was actually on ebay and found a Christopher Ross fish belt buckle. Don’t know if you are already one of the bidders, but here’s the item number.

Oh yes please go and buy them. I just bought a pair from my thrifty last week in Los Angeles. They were almost brand new for $3.50 and a Ann D jacket for $5.00.
I love your blog – its a slice of heaven in all the boom and gloom – which is understandable.
Hi Judy,
You have probably seen these Acne leather pants, no?

BTW…Thought of you when I picked up some hysteric glamour jeans at American rag the other day and my gosh they run small (or I run big!
C–Hysteric Glamour does run a bit small.
Looked at the Acne leather pants–fabulous. Acne is so hot right now, I wish we had a retailer that carried more if it.
I’m just a hair over 5’7″.
So Lovely–Where are your thrift stores? Ann D for $5 dollars–what a find!
love the pants and the Loubs too..

Good luck with your search

I’m back. I know this is going to sound crazy but its the Salvation Army. They get a new shipment every day. You just have to be there when the truck arrives, and they are bringing out the racks. The time varies by store. But I can assure you -there’s no pushing or shoving. xo
Leather can look tacky if not styled carefully, the lady in leather pants look incredibly chic! Will you consider doing a post on some of your finds from the leather sale? I loved the pants Jane posted.
