Renovation Update
Here are just a few pics of the renovation project. The arches are done, and the downstairs is painted. I chose the color Soft Earth from Ralph Lauren. It's a grey with lots of green undertones. I hope I made the right choice, it's much darker than all of my stark white I had before, but I think I really like it.
I love the new texture on the walls–my home was built in the 70's and had the original texture which was something awful. It looked like birds has stepped all over my walls.
Several people have asked about this painting. I don't know who the artist is, and truthfully, the real painting is on the other side. It's awful. I found the painting while junking with my sister, and believe it or not is was slated for the trash. I'm so fortunate to have found it before it was thrown away. It is much loved and appreciated now……
I wanted to show everyone this amazing 80's asymmetrical leather jacket I found this past week in E-bay. Isn't is great? Kind of Stevie Nicks…great detail on the sleeve…
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Great looking detail…love the texture too. Adds visual kick. Hot jacket. We must swimming in the same age pool, Stevie Nicks and all.
i love the new renovation of your house and so the jacket.
Love the color. Have you thought about painting the ceiling too?
the arches look amazing! I can’t get over how beautiful that painting is – you have such a great eye, no wonder you are a ebay pro!
It looks great so far, and the color is really good.
I had a lot of texture to work with in my house too. Some I liked, and some was dreadful. I had those popcorn ceilings YUCK, and if that were not bad enough, the people sprayed it from the ceiling, to the picture molding, which was 16 inches down. I scraped popcorn off the walls forever!
I had to get really creative with the ceilings though, and now I love them.
OH, love the jacket!
the arches look fantastic. i love the color- a nice change from white, but not too drastic. looks very warm. and i love the painting and the floors too.
Looks fantastic Judy! I really like the colour on the walls — Great choice!
the arches are absolutely beautiful
Just FYI – the grey looks warmer in this set of photos than they do in your next post so you may want to ignore my comment about a warmer color.
Loving the renovation. I plan on going through that myself soon. The jacket is so over the top fabulous!!!
Hi. Love the style but I will suggest to age the white brick wall to something like washed white instead of studio white.Love the fact that the place does not look saturated.
The new arches are sort of Pueblo looking. Very cool
We love the way you are renovating ur home…especially the arches. The leather coat with the studs looks so Steve Nicks, like you so said. I can’t wait till you wear it and shows us how you style it. Rock Glam!~

i love that wall.. had one in my house too

I really like the new color. It’s much more relaxing and cozy than the stark white. The texture on the walls reminds me of the exterior walls on homes in the really hot places like California. It’s a great way to bring the outside indoors. Speaking of heat, how do you keep your place cool? I like the idea of mini split air conditioners. What do you think?
Swimming is one of the most demanding sports in which we participate and the most recommended for overall health as best he can do is practice as much as possible in order to feel its effectiveness
thus we have a good physical condition
..if you like you can start the drawing by using a pencil – try adding objects and creatures in the landscape – maybe a dragon flying in the sky or a mermaid swimming in the ocean
..you don’t need to match the colours perfectly – I also find if you layer multiple colours on top of each other it creates nice textures.
..When your done you can frame it or scan it in your computer and print multiple copies to give to friends and family.
Your renovation project is coming along nicely. Great pictures as well. Thanks for the great read. Keep up the good work.
