A FEW SHOTS FROM VEGAS
Jane and I spent the last few days in Las Vegas. We were there for the MAGIC show. MAGIC is a huge trade show for the fashion industry–there is no sleight of hand involved. The weather was sunny and gorgeous, and we got to spend an afternoon by the pool.
Our favorite restaurant in the Cosmopolitan was Holstein’s. They had the best selection of tiny sliders. Here I am trying the veggie version, and Kim is giving her critique. In case you don’t read Jane’s blog, Kim is our little Chihuahua we adopted from Furrever Friends. Our dear friend adopted her sister, Roxy. Roxy and Kim were dumped at the dog pound on Christmas eve because their breeder could not sell them as Christmas presents. They are the sweetest little dogs, and we feel so fortunate to have Kim in our family, and Roxy so close by!
I never want to sound preachy, especially about dogs. However, if you are thinking about a Chihuahua, do check your local pound and area rescue groups. There are hundreds of Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes waiting for a home. We have been so lucky with Kim, and Staci, our Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound mix. Chihuahuas are definitely not a breed for everyone. They can be very demanding and mercurial. Frustrated owners often abandon them. The slew of cute Chihuahua movies and commercials have not helped the breed at all. Okay–off my box now!!

Kim has managed to be the best little traveler. She participated in numerous interviews at MAGIC, and even drove around in the golf cart all over the show grounds without a whimper.
Jane and I are in NY now, and Carol just joined us!! We have a few meetings, and then we head back home.

Ooooh the MAGIC show! I’ve always wanted to go but never had the opportunity. I’ve been in the fashion industry for quite a few years now designing apparel graphics and a few of my clients attend every year. Sadly, I haven’t had the chance to go and I am super curious about it. Do you plan to show any photos of the tradeshow? If so, I’d love to see them! On another note, Kim is adorable and looks an awful lot like my Chiweenie, Wyatt.
