MARGARITA BARRERA
I’ve been putting together a collection of Margarita Barrera belts for the last couple of months. I find them from time to time, but they are very rare. Margarita Barrera worked alongside Christopher Ross in the 80′s before launching her own line of belts. I love Margarita’s work, and the finishes she used on her belt buckles. This hawk is huge and amazing!! I have put six of them for sale on the site–along with some other cute home items.
This humming bird is the most massive belt buckle I’ve seen to date. I love it–luckily, I found two, so I can keep one!
I hope everyone has a great weekend planned. Carol and I are going to plant our herb garden if we are not blown away by the wind.
I spent so much time looking through my photo collection of trips to Japan–it’s my favorite country to visit, and I have to wonder if it will ever be the same? I can barely look at the images and videos posted on line, and I’m thankful I don’t have a TV right now or I would be a complete basket case. My heart aches for the people of Japan.

i can’t help but feel so sorry for those in Japan. I think this might have been the first time where we have been able to see things at real time as far as the actual disaster happening. My heart goes out to them.
You always find the best things online. I’m so happy I was able to find salvage some items from your dry goods shop.
Wow amazing collection!
Lovely collection, and my prayers are with Japan.
Love those belts! So gorgeous…just not sure if I could pull them off as fabulously as you do!

I love Japan too. The people, the culture, the fashion. I can’t watch the images online either. Check out my blog for ways to donate to Japan relief effort.

my sentiments exactly; although i like being an informed citizen of the world, i am glad i do not own a television, otherwise the media bombardment would be too overwhelming to ever handle.
on a more frivolous note, this belt is absolutely stunning, and you are very lucky to ever find any of these.
