VINTAGE ACQUISITIONS
I’m always on the look out for new vintage pieces to add to my wardrobe. I have enough clothes for 10 people, but I can’t resist beautiful fabric and attention to detail. I love this brocade fabric. (50′s Dior jacket)
This is another great find from eBay. Black and white Geoffrey Beene quilted Grosgrain jacket. I love the print on the fabric….
the pointed sleeve is nice too.
The Salvation Army has a big charity sale once a year, and I always find great 80′s Krizia at this sale. This year did not disappoint–look at this fabulous bear sweater. I love the contrast of his ferocious face mixed with his delicate choice of jewelry.
Great early 80′s (I think) Gianfranco Ferre jacket. Reminds me so much of Yohji Yamamoto in the early 80′s.
Love this 80′s taffeta and tulle stuffed jacket!
Another great Geoffrey Beene jacket found at the Salvation Army charity event.

I know these clothes!!! The Krizia sweaters, the Ferre.

you and jane always have the best luck with salvation army sales; sometimes i find a bit of fool’s gold, but rarely do i hit the jack pot. consignment shopping at smaller consignment boutiques has proven fruitful sometimes as well; regardless, i love the hunt, the chase, the satisfaction in the catch.
