SPARKLE

Wearing one of my all time favorite dresses by Gryphon.  It is from several seasons ago.

As I mentioned earlier, I cut my hair much, much shorter.  It’s kind of hard to tell in this photo, because I have it pinned back, but it’s cut into a shaggy bob.  I’m getting used to it, but I miss my hair.

Vintage Margarita Berera belt, 80′s jeweled chain, and vintage beads from Opening Ceremony.

Feathered Manolos.

Carol leaves in just 6 days to Wales.  I can hardly believe it.  We have lots of things planned in these last days, so please forgive my work ethic till then.

I hope you enjoy these days with your daughters!

I love your new cut (or what I can see of it), Judy!! Big changes are scary sometimes but I think you’ll grow to like it with time…. and it will always grow out again! Love your silver dress in combination with those gold & brass baubles!! It is such a striking mix! One of my favorites posts so far!

The big changes put the hair cut in perspective. I never thought the old hair change/life change cliche was true until I did it. Anywho, I like how the feathered manolos compliment the dress.

It’s funny how emotionally attached we become towards our hair, but it is so much a part of our identity and when we change it , there is kind of a mourning process involved.

Hi Judy!!! I´m sure your new hair cut really suits you. I adore this outfit with the stunning belt and those pieces of vintage jewelry. In my new blog in English, I have just posted a pic of myself wearing a tunic but, to be honest, I wish I could look as beautiful as you do!!! Good luck to Carol!

    xoxo, Mariana

I didn’t notice the change in hairstyle so much as the loveliness of your face. DId you change your makeup? Or get a facial? Whatever it was, you look fantastic. The shot with you near the ladder evokes John Singer Sargent’s portrait of “Madame X”; your elegance is amazingly akin to hers.

The dress is amazing, it’s the perfect choise for a summer evening party.
Love your mix of jewels, very elegant, I’d have matched it also with an only long pendant and super-straight hair with chignon and a part in the midlle :-) in a minimalistic way, Valentino inspiration :-) What do you think?

The jewelry, the dress, the shoes! Everything looks so pretty here, including your makeup and hair. Where do you and Jane get your hair done?
