HOME FROM NY
Jane and I are back from NY. We flew home on 9/11 which was a very odd and emotional experience. New York was fun and hectic at the same time. Jane and I experienced two very touching random acts of kindness while in New York, reminding us there is so much good in the world. Sometimes you need to be reminded of that.
I want to thank The Pleat for a wonderful write up, you can read it here. I love the collage of photos I featured above that they put together for the story.
While in New York, I met the talent behind the popular blog, From Me to You. If you haven’t read Jamie’s blog yet, have a look. So inspiring!! I was lucky enough to be seated next to her at dinner one night, and learned that she is a Texas girl, so we already have a vintage road trip planned for Christmas. Below is some of her work.
Jane and I thought we had a home all picked out in Dallas, and would be coming home to start the packing process. But the house Gods decided we were not a good fit, and while we’re not homeless, we are still looking for a home in Dallas. We are so disappointed! I’ll keep you posted on our progress.

Oh, I love Jamie!! When I discovered she was from the mid-cities last year, it really made me feel more connected in what was a very new place for David and I at the time. I think it’s wonderful that she inserts an occasional “y’all” in her posts.
You’ll have to keep me updated on your vintage tour, too… would love to know where you go!
Not sure what designer this is for, but it looks very Alexander McQueen-ish.
Lovely photos! Sounds (and looks) like you had a great time. I’m loving your oversized yellow clutch!! I’ve just started designing and selling oversized clutches made out of upholstery fabrics on Etsy. You’ll have to check them out some time
