LAST DAYS IN SAN MIGUEL
One of our favorite new places to eat in San Miguel is Cafe Rama. A small tapas cafe near the Instituto de Arte. Here are a few pictures from our evening there–but honestly, you can find so many cute little cafes now in San Miguel. You would need a couple of weeks to have time to try them all.
This was a wonderful polenta dish.
Butternut squash pasta.
I’m always fascinated by repetition.
Graffiti.
This is the picture of the grounds of a very old and grand hacienda that has been turned into a bed and breakfast.
This bed and breakfast was very active in the local humane society, and I thought their cat adoption poster was charming.
So long San Miguel…..

I have yet to visit San Miguel, but when I do go, it will be done your way–at least 10 days. My friends who have been there have never stayed more than three to four days at the most. In my opinion, that’s a pit stop. Not a real vacation.
I hope it was a wonderful getaway for you and your family. Would it be to nosey to ask where you all stayed?
I’m fascinated by repetition, too.
You make me want to see San Miguel. I’ll add it to my (growing) travel wish list.
The cat adoption poster is cute – I’d want to adopt them all!
Patsy Ann–there are so many cute hotels to stay in! You won’t have a problem at all finding one. There is a new Rosewood hotel that is stunning–a little expensive though. There are so many little boutique hotels too that are not so expensive–let me know if you go!!
